XIV

An event-driven Minecraft client modification for Minecraft version 1.8.

Overview

Originally written by a team of six developers in 2015, the project was led by me under the alias latematt. It was somewhat influential in the Minecraft cheating scene, due to its role in YouTube videos involving massive online multiplayer griefing and its subsequent source code release. It was a privately-held client between a group of hackers, griefers, ne'er-do-wells and friends, until December 2015 when it was released without permission onto GitLab. From there, the project and the group surrounding its development fractured, and development came to an end.

License

For legal and copyright reasons, the source code is not immediately available. Upon request, I will provide a copy of the source code that complies with anything Mojang or Microsoft deems lawful. This software was originally released under a custom "no license" (i.e. i didn't quite understand what i was doing) so as far as anyone should be concerned it's public domain source code barring Mojang's legal assets and Microsoft's team of overpaid lawyers. I do not have the money, nor the willpower, to fight a team of overpaid lawyers with nothing better to do. if you need more information you might be a fed!

and a big fat 🖕 to every single basement-dwelling HackForums-browsing prescription-lens-wearing skid who immediately, the SAME SECOND this hit GitLab back in 2015, downloaded it, slapped a boring periodic table ass name on the source, and then resold it. I know of at least one group of absolute brainrot skids who snuck malware in their resell. I will always and forever be salty about this. Script kiddies don't create, they don't know how to create, they haven't got a creative bone in their body. Script kiddies only steal for their own profit, monetary or otherwise.
